Many of you might not know that I homeschool my two little boys, ages almost-9 and 7, during the day. About two months ago, we adopted two fur-babies (Kittens), Bridget and Mittens. I am also a newly-single mom. Needless to say, my life stays pretty busy. I live in the desert southwest and the not-as-hot weather is finally upon us. I love being able to open all my windows and inhale fresh-ish air and hear the birds singing in the morning. There’s something both calming and energizing about the cooler weather. The kitties also appreciate the open windows and Mittens loves to chatter and wave her tail wildly at the birds outside. It inspires me to do stuff that I’ve put off for months. The heat of the summer just drains me of all energy and it’s hard to stay motivated. But, as I sit here next to a big open window, listening to a bird out front, as well as the episode of Phineas and Ferb that my boys are watching during their school break, I can’t help but sigh in contentment. A smile creeps over my face and I look forward to a productive week. (copied from my Google+ post from today)
